What Madness Looks Like

Social justice atheist PZ Myers once wrote, “Squatting in between those on the side of reason and evidence and those worshipping superstition and myth is not a better place. It just means you’re halfway to crazy town.”

Oh, the delicious irony.  These days, it has become quite obvious that this champion of “reason and evidence” has not only taken residence in crazy town, but sits on their town council.

Consider some of his latest examples of madness.

In his posting entitled, “Twitter is kind of terrible. Why don’t you give it up for the New Year?,” he works himself into a froth about twitter:

You know who is still on Twitter? Other racist organizations, like VDare. David Duke, Ann Coulter, Mike Cernovich, Gavin McInnes. Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson. You can also search for terms like “White genocide” and “cultural marxism” or various racial slurs and find plenty of small fry who aren’t dissuaded at all.

Donald Trump is still on Twitter. I’ll believe in their commitment to principle when they ban that hatemonger, but they won’t, since their only commitment is to dollars.

Of course we see the typical authoritarianism that is inherent in social justice ideology.  And then there is the standard hypocrisy of a hatemonger railing against other “hatemongers.”  But that’s dime a dozen material when it comes to social justice atheists.

But only an inhabitant of Crazy Town would demand that Twitter ban the President of the United States for being a “hatemonger.”  To think and insist that this needs to happen is madness.

What’s more, earlier in the day, the social justice atheist posted another blog entry entitled,  “Remember this”

When Trump goes down, Mike Pence does not get a pass. He must be recognized as a sycophantic enabler, equally guilty in all crimes against humanity.

No, I’m not going to quote it here. I can barely get past the first paragraph without gagging. It’s obsequiousness to such a degree that it ought to justify a firing squad.

Let me get this straight.  Pence is guilty of “crimes against humanity.”  And what did he do to deserve the “firing squad?”  Pence thanked and praised Trump for helping to get the tax cut bill passed.  The horror.

This is lunacy.  And it is a form of lunacy that embraces authoritarianism and violence.

I don’t understand social justice atheists.  Think just how miserable PZ Myers must be jockeying for some leadership role in Crazy Town.  Demanding that Twitter ban Trump and hoping Trump and Pence end up before a firing squad for “crimes against humanity” is not a sign of good mental health. As an atheist, he knows he has one life to live and, given his age, not much time left.  Yet he is obsessed with spending so much of his time on his lunatic notions of utopia and clings to his blind faith that his words will help us all one day get there (even if we need firing squads to help us along the way).  Why waste your life living in such needless and chaotic mental distress?

PZ must read a lot of Salon. The USA is in the grip of mass hysteria, and has been ever since Trump won. PZ is merely an example of it. It’s not even an atheist thing, specifically.

  2. Is this the guy who desecrated – apparently – a consecrated host? He’s unhinged beyond words. He reminds me of a Soviet bureaucrat who would order a synagogue, mosque or church destroyed. He is the worst Gnu has to offer and that’s saying a lot

I had to stop reading that article after a few paragraphs because my brain can only consume so much idiocy per unit of time.
The author was CHAUNCEY DEVEGA. This is someone who thought David Silverman’s “Fighting God: An Atheist Manifesto for a Religious World” was a “great book.” LOL. It figures.

TDS (Trump Derange Syndrome) is highly fascinating once it’s observed.
