Richard Dawkins has apparently become so bored with science that he decided to fire off a series of angry tweets about the US presidential election. He wrote numerous tweets including:
“Romney’s prophet Joseph Smith a fraud, Romney falls for it.”
“No matter how much you agree with Romney’s economic policy, can you really vote for such a massively gullible fool? He is a Mormon BISHOP!”
“Bible & Koran genuinely old, written in the language of their time. Book of Mormon written by 19thC charlatan. Romney too stupid to see it.”
“Could you really vote for a man who thinks the Garden of Eden was in Missouri?”
“Christianity, even fundamentalist Christianity, is substantially less ridiculous than Mormonism (and Obama, if he is Christian at all, is certainly not fundamentalist).”
“The traditional Mormon belief in the inferiority of black people (only lately renounced for reasons of political expediency) is as scientifically inaccurate as it is obnoxious.The great ‘prophet’ Brigham Young even prescribed the death penalty for inter-racial marriage.”
“We most emphatically do NOT want a Mormon President, and there seems very little hope that Mitt Romney is only pretending to be Mormon.”
Was he drunk when he had this meltdown? One more tweet, and I think we would have seen all caps. Anyway, did you ever notice that as Dawkins has gotten older, his thinking and behavior has become more juvenile?

I wonder if Dawkins will get more into the Koran’s origin. Nah.
If the Mormons only renounced racism for political expediency, why did the Darwinian eugenicists renounce it?
Actually Dawkins seems to have transferred the Darwinian model of racism to the Mormons – it was the evolutionary view that black people are inferior, because lower in the evolutionary tree leading to white European Deists/Atheists.
The Mormon teaching, as far as I can see, was that they are sinful because the mark of Cain (inflicted for slaying Abel) means a dark skin, that Canaan was cursed for his wickedness, and so on.
As recently as 1920, biology textbooks described the 6 races, in a hierarchy, with caucasians at the top. Racism was based upon scientific ‘facts’. Blacks were considered sub-human. That’s Darwinism.
Clearly you don’t understand “Darwinism” then. And I am no fan boy of Dawkins but, what is exactly bad about his tweets and what he said? At least he speaks the truth.

Apart from being a Mormon, does Dawkins have any evidence that Romney is “a massively gullible fool?” Looks to me like this great scientist and thinker, this man who bravely “speaks the truth,” posts tweets that are emotional, logic fallacies.
And let’s not kid ourselves. Dawkins thinks that ANY sincere religious believer is a “massively gullible fool.”
