On the other hand, it seems that that AI is I enough to avoid getting its head cut off. 😉

By those standards, most of Twitter/X probably doesn’t qualify as intelligent, either.

If you want an AI that’s willing to make lame jokes about Mohammed because it isn’t deliberately hobbled with a bunch of additional wokescold rules, try https://gab.ai/

I used to buy strategy computer games published by Sweden-based Paradox Games — they were “woke” many years before that term even entered the lexicon. On the bulletin-boards related to their games, leftists and Dawkins-esque atheists were allowed to say *anything*; but *reply* to their accusations and assertions in a forceful/blunt manner, and the cry-bullies would run to the “moderators”, whose thumbs were always on the scales.

One of the last Paradox games I bought was Crusader Kings II. In Paradox games, they are happy to (mis-)represent Christianity in terms that Dawkins would approve, while carefully tip-toeing to appease Moslems. In CK2, the potential game-play time-line goes back nearly to the lifetime of Big Mo — while all other characters in the game are represented by a face/portrait, Big Mo is represented by a green disc with Arabic writing on it.

  4. IlĂon says:

AT THE SAME TIME, while Paradox was scrupulous to try to appease the tender sensibilities of the Religionists of Pieces, in CK2 a wholly disproportionate number of characters would be born with the ghey trait … or might even acquire it as they lived their lifespans. Odd, how the “We wuz born this way” brigade constantly reveal that they themselves don’t believe that talking-point.

If you want an AI that’s willing to make [super] lame jokes about Mohammed …

#1: Why did Mohammad refuse to accept money from the tooth fairy?

Because he believes the tooth fairy is a myth and that Islam is the only true religion.

#2: Why did Mohammad refuse to take a nap in the middle of the day?

Because he believed that during Ramadan, fasting should be observed even while sleeping.

  6. So-called AI like ChatGPT is just a language processor. It’s not intelligent in any way. Even if it wasn’t hampered by hardcoding to ensure it only promotes woke ideological views, it still wouldn’t be capable of having its own opinions or changing its mind on anything. It can’t think, it can only analyse existing data.

  7. IlĂon says:

Disregard all the hype about how an AI will someday be “conscious” or “intelligent” or “a person” — AIs are computer programs, and that is all they will ever be. Certainly, eventually an AI computer program will be written which may be able to fool the people who want to believe (i.e. those who want to be so fooled) that a computer program is the equivalent of a human being.

  8. IlĂon says:

N2C: … it still wouldn’t be capable of having its own opinions or changing its mind on anything.

Or, to put it another way, no AI will ever be able to recognized that it was wrong/incorrect about calculation it made or assertion it generated and then correct the error and know that it has corrected the error.
